NAM Expo: First Day in Atlanta

The Sanctuary to Receive NAM Journalism Award

NEW AMERICA MEDIA, whose mission is to expand the news lens through ethnic media, has given ProMigrant.Org (The Sanctuary) an award in blogging/journalism! I will be in Atlanta early in June to receive this award on the group’s behalf.

Ed Kennedy Snags Aztec Eagle

Mexico has awarded Democratic Sen. Edward Kennedy the country’s highest honor for his work defending the rights of immigrants during his decades in Congress.

“He has denounced injustices suffered by immigrants,” and “promoted initiatives to promote full political participation and increased access to health and education services for the Mexican-American community,” the official announcement said.
