THERE HAS BEEN A PUSH as of late to communicate to the public how deeply into our system hate groups have infiltrated. In this anxious time we are living through, minorities and immigrants become scapegoats for society’s ills. People get hurt and hunted because of it. This is a good video to pass around to help.
NO MATTER WHAT your position on immigration law happens to be; no matter how many generations your family has been rooted in this soil, these kinds of abuses are unacceptable. Treating our fellow humans in these ways simply is not, as they say, American.
I CAN’T THINK of a more uplifting message than this: Put your time, energy, and heart into something and the energy will return. It will grow, it will propagate, it will continue. And this lesson can be found in events both small and large.
FLAGSTAFF, AZ: At approximately 10AM on Thursday December 4th, Flagstaff Immigrant Rights Enforcement (FIRE) confronted Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in a daring raid, serving a notice of deportation to ICE representatives at an ICE Management meeting.
A HATE CRIME is made possible by many actors, not just one ugly mind and hand. You have the actual perpetrator of the act, the immediate culture that encourages and approves of this behavior, the legislation that provides a moral/legal underpinning for certain views, and those who craft the legislation. All will soon be held accountable.
DEAR MISTER PRESIDENT ELECT: You are too smart to pretend you don’t see all this. So I say if you do not act on it and soon, you are nodding along with this scourge that threatens both our peoples and the whole nation as a consequence. MY HOPE IS THAT WE CARRY THIS FORWARD. This energy now rising. That we all carry on with this decision to work for a new day and a new way of seeing. A way out of the hate and the fear and the small-minded paradigms that keep us running in circles as we try to spiral up to the Top of the Shining Heap and step on other hands to get there. That we continue to open our minds and our hearts and become this change we want so much to believe in.

GLARINGLY ABSENT NOW are discussions of a cult, of cultishness, of a hypnotized and dangerous mob. Now, when John McCain and Sarah Palin are whipping their followers into a sick, bubbling, dangerous tangle of elbows and fear and bubbling vitriol. Where is the talk of scary mobs? So often we mention Change. Let us not forget that with real change always comes resistance and pain.

PAUL ANTI-WAR RALLY said of his band’s song Rock the Empire, this is a “call and response” post. ‘I shout out one thing, and you answer!’ he said…as I kept an eye on the police in riot gear, already gathering like storm clouds and in apparently no mood to rock much except the long batons in their hands.
