WATCHING THE WELL-WORN WEAPONS OF THE RIGHT being grappled and thrown and dropped and whipped about in frenzy; watching the GOP throw McCarthyism, Racism, Terrorism, Greedism and everything else at both Barack Obama and the American populace reminds me of the final writhings and wailings of the Boss Monster before you take its life.

THE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES ARE OVER and unless a fireball comes blazing out of the sky with Osama bin Laden handcuffed to it bearing an oxygen tank to resuscitate the Free Market Philosophy wrapped in a economic surplus-scented plan to win Afghanistan, John McCain’s anger and slurs won’t be enough to yank the Republican brand out of the septic muck in which it has mired itself.

Will John McCain finally make clear to the national audience just how dangerous community organizing is to the health of a Republic such as ours? A LEAK OF MCCAIN’S NEWEST ATTACK VIDEO shows us just how far the McCain Campaign is willing to go in their quest for the White House. I have to admit, though, this angle is pretty devastating and I’m not sure what Obama can do to counter it. It is, I think we can all admit, the Dark Elephant in the room.

ALREADY, voting is under way. After two stolen elections which brought us the loathesome idiot George W. Bush; the criminal negligent George W. Bush; the Miserable Failure George W. Bush, who in turn brought us thousands upon thousands of corpses in the ground, dollars in the fire, and terror in the air—I can’t think of a more important election. And it seems the tension is already on, judging by at least one story out of Ohio.
DID YOU WATCH THE VP DEBATES? It was ripe with entertainment, though we did not see Biden gaffe it up as the McCain camp was predicting nor did we view a live moose-skinning session as many in Cheney’s Duck Hunting Club were hoping. But we did get to see a Hockey Pit Mom snarl and wink directly into television cameras and we did get to see Joe Biden shed tears, reminding us that if women can wield hunting knives comfortably, so can men display genuine emotion publicly.
WHO ARE THE REAL CONQUERORS who think they are better than everyone, Mister Republican? Who are the real conquerors, dropping economic and actual bombs on those they feel are below them in station and worth? Who are the real conquerors, still whispering and hissing into the ears of those below them, still stirring up divisions to keep themselves at the business end of a yoke?
OH…SENATOR? Can I interrupt your well-managed, well-lit, well-scripted campaign for un momento? I really, really, really dig your handsome biography photo and the poignant life story thing. But I have just a tiny little question. I know you don’t want your fancy friends to hear this, but…do you care about women starving to death?
