Neustra cultura América would have us talking about one man’s talent and rise up from the dirty streets, would have us reify the superpowered individual narrative. And we all know it’s important to have a bit of that in our minds if we are going to make it through some long, hard moments out there in life.
But what’s another way we could take this? What other inspiration can we take away from stories like this—aside from the inspiration of poppin’ the neck just a bit and swaying, which is always joy!
