Debonair Mujer Found With Huge, Big, Very Large, Massive Gun

THE WIRES ARE ABLAZE with a coincidence of timing in President Obama’s appointing a “border czar” and the discovery of massive weaponry in the hands of a Mexicana (Anahi Beltran Cabrera) who was photographed by AP cameras looking extremely well-stocked and defiant.
On the very day officials confirmed President Barack Obama will appoint a border czar to combat drug cartels, Mexican police announced they confiscated a U.S.-made machine gun that could penetrate steel from a mile away, likely the most destructive weapon of its type ever seized in Mexico.
Together, the two moves signal the ever increasing strength of cartel warfare — and the task ahead for the U.S. and Mexican governments.
Well, it’s definitely notable that the machine gun was found, but all it really “signals” is…that weapons were found by law enforcement. That gun could have been kicking around for a very long time, given the warring that’s gone on in Latin America, the civil wars that have happened in Central America.
The discovery of the .50-caliber Browning machine gun, which Mexican authorities said was mounted in the bed of a pickup and has a rate of fire of 800 rounds a minute, also came just days before Obama’s first trip to Mexico.
Again, I just want to remind everyone that this is completely coincidental timing. That is not in doubt. Nobody is doubting that.
The White House is promising cooperation with Mexico, and both Obama and Mexican President Felipe Calderon, are under pressure to slow the drug running, gun smuggling and violence that threatens Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California.
Sexy wording! Just like THAT, four states are actually being threatened. Well, dammit, that raises my Murkan Dander! GRRRR!
Ah, well, I’m not saying there’s no danger rising up in the wake of FeCal’s insane War on Anything in His Way. Just saying. Yum. Love your English, baby! You whip that shit around like a Long Tail.
The border czar, former U.S. attorney Alan Bersin of San Diego, will coordinate American policy on immigration, guns, drugs and bulk cash shipments into Mexico, a Department of Homeland Security official told the Houston Chronicle. Bersin’s appointment is expected to be announced today.
Haven’t looked into this cat’s background and resume, but I will. And “bulk cash shipments”? What is this about? Because if this is a reference to Plan Mérida…I don’t remember that being part of the deal. Anyone know what this is about?
The discovery of the weapon in the northern Mexico state of Sonora serves notice that cartels are ready for all-out war. Mexican authorities have not yet said how it got into the country.
Or…if it has been there for a long time! Too much. How many times is the writer going to sneak in this implication of volition, of intent?
Further, you really have to love all this subtle assignment of locus. Because let’s be clear: If the MX Army/Cops discovered the weapon, it would be them “serving notice” of anything. Not the Cartels. The AP writer is saying that finding this gun means the Cartels are sending a message. So…they meant for it to be found. Right?
The gun, which fires rounds nearly 6 inches long, was discovered by federal police on routine patrol when they spotted the truck parked outside a house. A woman was arrested at the scene, and police said the Browning, part of a grenade launcher and other weaponry have been linked to the Beltran Leyva drug cartel.
Damn. Of all days to pick to park your .50 caliber machine gun-truck in the driveway!
The Beltran Leyva group is one of Mexico’s older syndicates, and operates with a lower profile than the Gulf or Sinaloa cartels, which often grab headlines.
Well. So much for that low profile!
In later reports it is written that 1) the gun was not just found in a truck, as earlier reports stated, but that Beltran Cabrera was actively “guarding” the arsenal and 2) that oddly, Anahi Beltran Cabrera apparently is not related to the Beltran-Leyva family or “clan” as the AP words it.

You need a “czar” to coordinate the drugs, guns and bags-o-cash crossing the border? Aren’t the cartels efficient enough at it?
funny.
Incredibly disturbing and misleading. Just throw words around and hope the “terror” sticks. Thanks, Nez, for taking the article apart, piece by piece. There is so much to learn.
May I post a link to a site I just found regarding Plan Merida and cash, or quote part of it here?
Thanks, as always,
Nora
of course. thank you nora.:)
usmexico.blogspot.com
Just one source I found while googling. It doesn’t mention “bulk cash shipments,” but does mention cash. Lots to learn.
Oh, thanks Nora. Yeah, I’ve read more than that on Mérida. You can search this site and find more. That’s my point, tho…Mérida is specifically not supposed to entail anything like “bulk cash shipments”! The $ value is in the training and weapons, etc. Not cash payments. But if you find anything saying so, def drop it here.
Czar=Caesar=Emperor
Emperor of War
Emperor of Drugs
Emperor of Borders
The Republic….she is dead mon ami…dead and buried somewhere on the northern bank of the Rio Grande.
no doubt. buried somewhere north of el rio bravo…
The look on her face in the second pic makes it clear she knows what to do with that gun.
Oops… I think it was probably bad wording on the source’s part. “Bulk cash” refers to the Yanqui dollars being smuggled INTO Mexico by narcos, not the Yanqui dollars we’re not receiving from Plan Merida.
whit, you know i never was one of those guys who go gaga for GIRLS WITH GUNS and such as we see here in the US on trashy posters and mags etc. but mujeristas, guerrilleras, soldaderas…damn. give me una morena con bullet belt and i’m dizzy just a lil bit.
ah richard you are right. that is poor wording! i’m cracking up at imagining a US politician openly working to “sneak” bags of money across the border! Of course it’s normally done much more covertly than that.
yeah, something other than the wording in sexy, alright.
