NCLR AND NDN CALL FOR CONGRESS TO PASS IMMIGRATION REFORM THIS YEAR
Washington, DC—The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) President and CEO, Janet Murguía, will participate in a panel at NDN—one of the leading U.S. progressive think tanks and advocacy organizations—entitled, “Making the Case for Passing Immigration Reform this Year.” The panel is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, February 19 at 11:30 a.m. Simon Rosenberg of NDN, Rick Johnson of Lake Research, Pete Brodnitz of the Benenson Strategy Group, and Frank Sharry of America’s Voice are also featured members of tomorrow’s panel. Andres Ramirez, NDN Vice President for Hispanic Programs, will moderate the discussion.
This event is open to the public, and it will serve as an opportunity to share opinions on the state of the immigration debate with a diverse, progressive audience from the private and the public sectors. The discussion will serve as a platform for identifying strategies that will move immigration reform forward in 2009.
