Weekly Immigration Wire [VIDEO]: A Cry for Change from Coast to Coast
HERE IS THIS WEEK’S VIDEO complement to the TMC blog I wrote Thursday. Articles covered include the many actions being taken across the nation as people demand movement on this issue. Also, I speak on why we need immigration reform and now. There will be a YouTube version, but from now on there will be a window of time after I post videos on the XOLAGRAFIK site.
Hola! If you're new here, you may want to snatch up a juicy salsamatic subscription to the worldfamous Unapologetic Mexican RSS feed.
This message will show only a few times so read it while it's hot! Gracias!
HERE IS THIS WEEK’S VIDEO complement to the TMC blog I wrote thursday. (Click image to go to video page, where embed code can be found, as well.) This week’s vlog is a different style than either week one or week two, as I try to find the method that works best for these formats, for me, and for The Media Consortium. I am so close to these stories so often it hadn’t really occurred to me to give context. But I was asked to talk a little about why immigration reform is so important right now. So I did.
I happen to call Rush Limbaugh “Rush Limbo” when I talk about him here at home. When I was riffing on things, I called him that on camera, which is kinda funny, but I left it in and created a title card to offer a hint why I call him that. It’s not a major feature or anything, but I got a kick out of it and wanted you to know it was intentional, in the end.
Articles covered include the many actions being taken across the nation as people demand movement on this issue. There will be a YouTube version, but from now on there will be a window of time after I post on the XOLAGRAFIK site. The Youtube version will not be available for a day or two after. For one thing, this takes a LOT of work!! And I need a bit of a break once this is upped—the main concern is getting it online. And also, YouTube doesn’t show high quality by default, nor does it offer a dark viewing area (Warning, graphic artist here), and I can link a URL right at the end of this, which I do. Plus of course, I need to build my video site as my main area for my videos.
Wow. For how fast one of these is over you might never guess unless you know about pre-production, production, and post. This video took a little longer than the last one, but I am hoping that in time, after all the templates are made (of course I have to make each visual graphic that appears in these, as well as all animations, etc) and I get the lighting setup as well as the vlogging format down a bit more, it will become easier. In fact, I’m not hoping, that’s how it always works. Meanwhile, I started this Friday, and I’m just uploading it now. Good thing I love doing it!
