Nice, Nez :D And I think people underestimate how fixing our domestic problems are interrelated with the foreign. First budget wise - money we spend on the war is money we could've used to save these failing domestic programs.

If we searched harder to find ways not to cut these failing programs because they were a priority, maybe we would've decided not to overextend ourselves overseas. They'd be forced to find a more concise and effective plan for our defense and admit that Iraq wasn't necessary. And it's not guaranteed but we might've ended up with less enemies that way.

And the best way to be a leader economically and be seen as fair and just is to keep working on improving those qualities in our own country. If we don't do that, not only do things get worse for people living here, but we weaken our standing with the rest of the world and our ability to be effective overseas. You get your priorities in order and fix yourself, lots of other things seem to fall into place.

hell yes. the marches ayer showed us a lot! i do have hopes for a lot of change. obama campaigned on enlisting the People, i feel he means it, and its clear many of us aren't sitting around just waiting. dont get me wrong, i am excited. i mean...i meant that part.

but i had to add the notes on imperialism etc because its very important. and unless we change that part, the rest will fall again.

The lesser evil is the least that we can expect without being disappointed by the Obama Administration. Change was proclaimed, but its not going to happen overnight. Faith and hope is present and the masses are going to demand that change minimally at the domestic level. It will be while until government is truly transparent and of the people. Heck at least we're a tiny bit closer in comparison to the previous administration, right?
