[...] Weekly Immigration Wire: From Brooklyn Streets to Hollywood Blvd … the unapologetic mexican "We are living in unsure times, filled with drastic transitions that shift our perspectives from day to day. In one sense, immigration is about groups of people shifting in size and moving from place to place. It is also about the formation of new groups, how we live through the transitions, and who we are on the other side. For this week’s Immigration Wire, I’d like to look at how different social groups are dealing with issues related to immigration—and all of its accompanying cultural shifts." (tags: blog NorthAmerica Race immigration) [...]

your wish for me to be surrounded with one love is gratefully received. i also thank you for what i realize; is that you give me that on a daily basis. last night when reading this, i linked to tmc, the newladder, the aclu, plus... and from there continued forth. i signed up on these sites. i realize i am linking/surrounding myself with those who fight for me. our personal causes are not necessarily, always exactly the same - but, the FOUNDATION to find solutions for all troubles, to create successes, to involve in a cause, to address an issue...is by nature the same. the entanglement is: the success for immigration reform, will help the successes for economic, industrial prison complex, health, foreign policy issues, etc., and vise-versa. this will help unify a way for all, for a better world and lessen the hate/division that is manufactured by a powerful problem few.
thank you for giving me a place where i can belong and trust, and introducing me to the kindred spirits. thanks for having my back. your work is good, a gift to more than is realized.
