And I know it’s not your first time, so don’t act coy. Oh, how I love last spring’s expressionsets on this year’s droids! Precocious.
Having trouble keeping up? Let go!
Here we go, robot racers:
1. How big is your screen?
2. What percentage of the time do you view bloglands through an 800 X 600 jobbie? [update: some peeps are being confused by my slingo. All I'm asking is how often you surf using an 800 x 600 monitor]
3. I’m going to write a word. You type back what your mind bounces up first.
“effigy”
Buena suerte! No cheating! GOoOooOOOOº!
(PS since I’m testing, let me link here and test for trackbacks. Since I’ve upgraded this UMX installation to WP 2.6, no incoming links are registering as trackbacks. HoN is WP 2.5 so let me see if I can plant one over there.)
Hola! If you're new here, you may want to snatch up a juicy salsamatic subscription to the worldfamous Unapologetic Mexican RSS feed.
This message will show only a few times so read it while it's hot! Gracias!
By commenting at UMX, you grant, in perpetuity, the rights for your words to be used in any fashion Nezua chooses, whether that be quoting them, reprinting them, converting them to representational fractals, or painting them on a t-shirt made for an anarchist's Chihuahua.

thank you! yes! i am putting myself on! and yes! i have been cybered by the Wonk!
The Brown on the left is placed just right, now.
chido!!! thanks for the feedback, my friend.
1)My screen is 15″, set to 1280×800. I usually use firefox on linux, but today I am using IE on Windows (long story, don’t ask) and the text is overlapping the brown box by a few pixels.
2)I never use a 600×800 jobby
3) Guy Fawkes
Oof. IE, as popular as it might be, is no longer a sweetheart and I don’t try to please her. Universally hated by web designers for good reason!
Thanks for the feedback.

Hmm. Okay, that trackback worked. But was it because I turned off those plugins or just because it STILL works. AGH! I hate the internet.
Guy Fawkes…man, I loved that movie.
Oh I know IE sucks donkey balls. If my work laptop weren’t locked down tighter than Fort Knox, I would never use it.
i really wish we could persuade the world to give it up.
1. 15″ monitor, 1024×768, 96dpi.
2. I don’t know what any of this means, but I do know that I have to move the bar at the bottom of my screen over quite a ways to the right to see your whole page. It doesn’t fit on my screen.
3. representation of a god in person form
hmmm. yes. it seems i have created a blog that is optimized for a large screen. not really the smartest design move, most wont do that. now i have to decide how i feel about it. gah. this blog thing. ay yi yi.
i’m finding #3 my favorite question to read answer to.
1. 24″ Acer 1920 x 1200 res using mozilla on XP only have XP so I can play WoW otherwise I have my other machine running linux and my other two are macs. i could run WoW on Linux but it is such a hassle.
2. idk what that means either english is my second language - my excuse since my husband always teases me about it. anyways. poor guy he only knows one language and barely at that - he went to public school ROFLMAO!!! So I assume you mean 800 x 600 res who uses that anymore? didn’t that go out with the Commodore 64?
3. Burning Man
1. uh… 17″? I’m only good at metric
2. I either have a 1072×867 or a cell phone screen
3. bill gates
1. Either a 20″ or 22″ widescreen set to 1680×1050
2. Never. Does a BlackBerry count?
3. Burn in…
nezua> you could think about making a more fluid layout with your stylesheet by using percentages instead of pixels. That’s how I do the Meepblog, so it scales down to 800×600 and is vaguely useable (though not perfect) by phone. But my blog is boring looking ![]()
ah, you know tho the issue here is mostly the header image, i think? it cannot squeeze down that far.
dunno…i’ve spent a lot of hours on this one. but i may go another way. still feeling it out. hard to make such a move! i got so used to the old place. i’ve been hunting and found a few themes that may do what i want a little better. you can only push a theme so far.
but i’m sure i’ll definitely be seeking some advice from you at some point in all this coding wilderness. thanks.
1. 17 in flat screen, safari
2. Wha…?
3. hung in…
17″, almost never, and “burn”
ooh one of my favorito NIN canciones
Works fine for me on Firefox 3.0.
And No I Won’t Get Fooled Again! Oh, No, No, No!
¡ Hey, TUM, i really like Ur casa nueva !
I view Ur righteous ramblings on a 20″ debranded HP LCD monitor set at 1400 X 900 and have never surfed at 800 X 600.
‘Effigy’ - The first thing that pops into my noggin is fond reemembrances of the 60s group, The Virgin Fugs.
Allen McDonald, El Galloviejo®
ah ha. On my own computer now (15″ screen, 1280×800, FF3 on ubuntu) and the site looks gorgeous. Muuuuuch n icer here than on corporate lockdown.
thanks allen!
well at least it looks yummy at home, hari mirchi. that is good to know.
1.) 14″ screen
2.) 1024×768
3.) burn in [effigy]
I would need to scroll and the “larger” tags in your cloud are on top of the less used ones. But I usually use Google reader, so…
-15 inches
-lots o colors wow dunno..
- An effigy of Bush being burnt somewhere in the middle east by some activists chanting in Arabic.
I have an LG 15 Diagonal Flat.
I don’t know what I am viewing through! I am far too ignorant of the cyber wonkery to even have an idea. 600 X 800. is about the pixel spread or something, but I have no idea of how to check what I have.
Effigy? A pinata. {you’re putting me on now}
